The Cincinnati Reds finally found their new pitching coach, and he comes from a familiar background. He used to coach alongside Terry Francona in Cleveland.

The Cincinnati Reds have named Joe Torres as the team's new Major League pitching coach, replacing Derek Johnson. Torres previously served as the Cleveland Guardians assistant pitching coach, having joined Terry Francona's staff in Cleveland back in 2022.
Torres started his coaching career with Cleveland in 2017 and remained under manager Stephen Vogt following Francona's departure. He now takes over a Cincinnati pitching staff that struggled last season, issuing a league-high 668 walks and recording a 4.84 ERA.
