Brian Windhorst isn't convinced the Cavaliers should be "not overly concerned" with Peyton Watson's latest hamstring injury after the forward missed significant time with the same issue last season in Denver.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst expressed serious concern regarding Cleveland Cavaliers forward Peyton Watson's latest hamstring injury on his podcast. Watson, acquired this offseason via sign-and-trade on a four-year, $88 million deal, was ruled out of Monday's 117-112 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Although Cavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson stated the team is not overly concerned, Windhorst highlighted that Watson suffered two similar hamstring injuries last season with the Denver Nuggets.
Watson missed significant time down the stretch last year, appearing in just five of Denver's final 30 regular-season games and sitting out the playoffs. With Watson sidelined, Atkinson opted for a cautious approach, leaning on rookie Meleek Thomas and veteran Mario Hezonja to absorb additional minutes on the wing.
