MLB Trade Rumors has outlined the next group of free agents who narrowly missed their annual Top 50 list. Following the inclusion of 24 honorable mentions, the publication noted that players ranked in the 40 to 60 range typically sign one- or two-year contracts at mid-level salaries, often yielding eight-figure guarantees.
Among the top players just outside the rankings are pitcher Jack Flaherty and infielder Gleyber Torres. MLB Trade Rumors projects Flaherty could secure a one-year deal worth $10MM to $12MM after an injury-shortened season, while Torres enters free agency following a strong on-base campaign.
