Dana White reacts to Renato Moicano’s controversial stand-up at UFC Halloween — ‘Are you trying to win the fight?’

Dana White addressed the controversial decision by referee Dan Miragliotta to stand up Renato Moicano and Tom Nolan during their lightweight main event at UFC Halloween. Miragliotta ordered the fighters to their feet in the second round while Moicano held Nolan's back with a body triangle. Following the stand-up, Nolan went on to win the fight via third-round technical knockout.

White stated that he was unsure what to think and that UFC headquarters had not yet formally discussed the matter. However, White emphasized that having a dominant position is not enough if a fighter is not dealing damage, advancing position, or actively trying to finish the fight. Moicano has confirmed he will not appeal the loss.
