Bryce James started in the Arizona Wildcats' season debut, but ended up only playing six minutes.
Media commentator Jason Whitlock claimed that LeBron James forced Arizona to start his youngest son, Bryce James, calling the situation a "make-a-swish kid" move. Bryce started for the Arizona Wildcats in their season opener against UCLA but only played six total minutes and went scoreless.
Whitlock argued that Bryce received token starts consisting of three minutes at the beginning of each half. The performance followed three preseason starts for Bryce, coming after a redshirt period with the Wildcats program.
