Aston Villa are set to offer Unai Emery a new long-term contract, ending Manchester United's hopes of appointing him as manager.

Aston Villa are in advanced talks with manager Unai Emery over a new long-term contract extending beyond 2029, dampening Manchester United's reported interest. The Spaniard was viewed as a primary target for INEOS amid ongoing pressure surrounding current United head coach Michael Carrick.
Following high-level talks involving chairman Nassef Sawiris, Villa issued a statement confirming a commitment to Emery's ongoing sporting leadership. Should United decide to dismiss Carrick, alternative managerial options reportedly include Julian Nagelsmann, Eddie Howe, Antonio Conte, and Cesc Fabregas.
