Bournemouth's remarkable run of results without Alex Scott should offer Chelsea fresh optimism that they'll finally be able to sign their number one target.

The Pride of London argues that Chelsea have fresh reason to believe Bournemouth may sell midfielder Alex Scott in the January transfer window. Bournemouth have won six consecutive matches without conceding while Scott has been sidelined with a thigh injury, leading the writer to suggest the Cherries are less dependent on the 23-year-old England international.
Reports indicate Bournemouth could consider a permanent sale for around £100 million as Scott approaches the final 18 months of his contract after rejecting two extension offers. Chelsea, who previously had a £64 million bid rejected in the summer, reportedly remain interested alongside Liverpool as they look to reinforce their midfield.
