Régis Le Bris has addressed Granit Xhaka and Nordi Mukiele’s comments as Sunderland seek a response to their poor form…

Sunderland head coach Régis Le Bris has responded to post-match criticisms made by Granit Xhaka and Nordi Mukiele following a defeat at Coventry City. Le Bris acknowledged that his team lacked alignment and tactical execution during the game. Sunderland currently sit bottom of the Premier League table with only five points from their first nine matches.
Le Bris explained that the intended high press collapsed because half the squad was not coordinated, leaving Coventry free to play through the lines. The manager emphasized the need for higher standards and greater cohesion as Sunderland prepare for upcoming home fixtures against Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League and Chelsea in the league.
