Mike McCarthy sees the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 9 bye as ideal timing before road games at Cincinnati and Philadelphia and a Black Friday home date.

The Pittsburgh Steelers entered their Week 9 bye week on a four-game winning streak following a 27-6 victory over the Cleveland Browns. The win placed Pittsburgh in sole possession of first place in the AFC North with a 6-2 record. In the victory, running back Jaylen Warren rushed for 143 yards, while the Steelers' defense recorded eight sacks against Cleveland quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Following the bye, the Steelers face a demanding three-game sequence featuring road matchups against Cincinnati and Philadelphia, followed by a Black Friday home game against Denver. Head coach Mike McCarthy emphasized the importance of using the break to recover physically before this pivotal stretch resumes on November 15.
