Aston Villa has reached a new construction phase in the redevelopment of Villa Park's North Stand, according to recent drone images. Permanent framework components, structural beams, lift shafts, staircases, and new concrete terraces are now being installed as the club works to increase total stadium capacity to over 50,000.
The revamped North Stand will expand its capacity from 6,500 to over 12,000 supporters. Aston Villa plans to shut down the stand completely during the 2026/27 season, targeting a reopening for the 2027/28 campaign ahead of hosting matches for Euro 2028.
