Fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has reportedly joined India's ODI squad in New Zealand ahead of the second match. Siraj sat out the opening bilateral ODI match in Auckland after playing in an unofficial Test match at Christchurch, where he took 4 for 118 across 35 overs. India defeated New Zealand by five wickets in the rain-affected series opener on November 4.
His addition gives the Indian team management another bowling option for the second ODI at Wellington Regional Stadium on November 7. India is preparing for an upcoming Test series against the Blackcaps that starts on November 19, while wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant remains doubtful due to rehabilitation from a side strain.
