Charlotte Hornets star Kon Knueppel did not make it to the 6-minute mark of his season debut before he exited and was ruled out.

Charlotte Hornets forward Kon Knueppel exited his 2026-27 season debut against the Brooklyn Nets after playing just six minutes on Wednesday night at Barclays Center. The team ruled him out for the remainder of the contest due to leg soreness after an apparent lower-body issue cut his return short.
Knueppel had missed Charlotte's first eight games of the season while recovering from a left hamstring strain suffered during the preseason. The Hornets ultimately dropped the road matchup against Brooklyn by a final score of 114-104, extending their losing streak to five games.
