Chicago Bears defensive end Austin Booker is finally becoming the defender the franchise was hoping he would be and showed that in Week 8.

Anthony Miller writes that Chicago Bears defensive end Austin Booker is putting together a breakout campaign in the 2026 NFL season. Booker delivered a pivotal performance during Chicago's 34-17 Week 8 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night, blocking a crucial field goal and deflecting a Sam Darnold pass that led to a game-sealing defensive touchdown.
Across eight games this season, Booker has recorded 23 tackles, four sacks, and a forced fumble while starting two contests. Miller argues that Booker's continued development, alongside defensive additions like Jeffery Simmons, positions the defensive end to maintain a prominent role for Chicago going forward.
