The Growth of Flag Football is a 'Force of Nature' as 15 New Teams Join Conference in 2027…

The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Women's Flag Football League is set to nearly double in size with 15 new teams joining for its second season. The expansion brings the total to 29 teams and is supported by a $500,000 investment from the Betty Wold Johnson Foundation at the direction of New York Jets Chairman Woody Johnson.
Teams will be split geographically into four divisions, with the championship set to be hosted at MetLife Stadium starting in 2027. Marymount University won the inaugural title in May, defeating Franciscan University 37-26, as the sport prepares for an upcoming NCAA championship status vote.
