QB Says if the Talk Isn't About Winning Games, It's 'Outside the Realm of What I'm Thinking About'

Quarterback Geno Smith is on pace to challenge several New York Jets single-season records through the first eight games of the season. Despite threatening historical franchise marks in passing yards, completion percentage, and passer rating, Smith emphasized that his sole focus remains on preparing for the upcoming Week 9 road contest against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
Head coach Aaron Glenn praised Smith's leadership and deep-passing execution, noting his command of the offense alongside offensive coordinator Frank Reich. Through eight games, Smith has recorded 1,913 passing yards, a 69.0 percent completion rate, and a 104.5 passer rating, completing nine passes of 40-plus yards.
