Unai Emery earns Aston Villa award nomination after impressive October

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has been nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Month award for October. Emery guided his squad through an unbeaten month in the league, collecting two wins and two draws across four fixtures. Highlights of the run included a 2-1 home victory over Manchester City, a 1-0 win against Newcastle United, and draws against Brentford and Fulham.

Emery faces competition for the award from Mikel Arteta, Xabi Alonso, Roberto De Zerbi, Fabian Hürzeler, and Marco Rose. If Emery wins, it will mark his fourth Premier League Manager of the Month award since taking charge of Aston Villa in October 2022. Fan voting remains open until November 9, with the final results announced the following week.
