Browns’ Jared Verse makes brutally honest admission after Mason McCormick incident

Cleveland Browns pass rusher Jared Verse addressed being violently thrown to the ground by Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman Mason McCormick during a recent loss. Verse stated that the altercation could have ended his season or changed his life negatively. He also revealed he was upset with his teammates for not standing up for him during the incident, noting that he addressed the issue directly with them in a conversation.

The altercation followed pregame trash talk between Verse and Steelers veteran Cam Heyward. Verse joined Cleveland from the Los Angeles Rams in a trade involving Myles Garrett and has contributed to the team's 5-3 record under head coach Todd Monken as they prepare to face the New Orleans Saints.
