A new 30 for 30 documentary captures the Washington Capitals star’s poignant bond with his father while confronting the heartbreaking reality of Alzheimer’s and his own genetic future.
ESPN Films has released "Coach Osh," a new 30 for 30 short documentary focusing on Washington Capitals forward T.J. Oshie and his relationship with his late father, Tim Oshie. The film highlights their bond throughout T.J.'s hockey career up to his Stanley Cup victory, alongside Tim's battle with an aggressive form of Alzheimer’s disease prior to his death in 2021.
In addition to chronicling their family memories, the documentary examines Oshie's concerns regarding his own potential genetic risk for the disease. Directed by Griffin Nash and Clifford Nash, the project includes Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller Rogen as executive producers and is currently streaming on the ESPN App.
