The latest updates from Texas Rangers camp could give the Boston Red Sox a Jarren Duran trade partner and a familiar starting rotation solution at the same time.

BoSox Injection's Stephen Parello proposes that the Boston Red Sox could trade outfielder Jarren Duran to the Texas Rangers in exchange for veteran pitcher Nathan Eovaldi. The writer argues that Texas faces roster desperation following center fielder Evan Carter's hip surgery, which requires an athletic outfield replacement while managing tight payroll constraints under a projected $190 million ceiling.
The proposed permanent trade would send Duran, projected at $11.1 million in arbitration, to Texas while Boston takes on Eovaldi's expiring $24 million salary. Parello notes that this move would solve Boston's search for a right-handed starter and free up outfield space for other offensive additions, while providing Texas roughly $13 million in salary relief.
