Boston Bruins forward Matt Poitras returned to practice wearing a protective bubble after suffering a broken nose against the Vegas Golden Knights. Poitras had his nose reset, and while he traveled with the team to Pittsburgh, his game status remains uncertain.
The injury occurred on a collision with Vegas forward Braeden Bowman, who was ejected but avoided supplemental discipline from the NHL Department of Player Safety. Head coach Marco Sturm indicated Poitras is expected to return promptly, possibly by Sunday if he sits out Thursday.
