The Sacramento Kings need to put some effort into building their bench up, or they will just keep losing.

Ian Goodwillie argues that the Sacramento Kings continue to struggle because the coaching staff is overusing starters and neglecting bench players. Following a recent loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, Goodwillie highlights that Sacramento's heavy reliance on starters has yielded just one victory during the early part of the 2026-2027 season.
Goodwillie notes that the Kings found success against the Dallas Mavericks when bench contributors like Malik Monk, Leaky Black, and Emanuel Sharp received more minutes. However, reserves such as Nique Clifford, Alex Karaban, and Jonathan Mogbo have since seen minimal or no court time despite ongoing rebuilding plans.
