The Canterbury Bulldogs have secured their first major signing for the 2027 NRLW season under head coach Mark O'Meley, signing winger Mercedez Taulelei-Siala on a two-year permanent contract. The 20-year-old moves from the Newcastle Knights following an impressive campaign.
During her breakout 2026 season, Taulelei-Siala was named the NRLW Rookie of the Year after scoring 13 tries in 12 games. Her strong domestic form also earned her selection for Samoa's squad at the Rugby League World Cup.
