Ryan Mountcastle and Heston Kjerstad are both now free agents after the Orioles cut them loose yesterday.

The Baltimore Orioles have parted ways with former first-round picks Ryan Mountcastle and Heston Kjerstad as part of several 40-man roster moves. Baltimore declined Mountcastle's $7.5 million club option after a decade in the organization, while Kjerstad became a free agent after clearing waivers and being outrighted off the 40-man roster.
Alongside those moves, the Orioles cut loose Leody Taveras, Yohel Pozo, and Dietrich Enns. Baltimore also extended a qualifying offer to starting pitcher Trevor Rogers, securing draft-pick compensation if he signs elsewhere in free agency.
