Joelinton has been ruled out of Newcastle's trip to Fulham, leaving Matthias Jaissle without both him and the suspended Jacob Ramsey as Sean Steur pushes for more minutes.

Newcastle United midfielder Joelinton has been ruled out of the upcoming trip to Fulham after sustaining another injury, manager Matthias Jaissle confirmed. With Joelinton sidelined and Jacob Ramsey suspended following Monday's defeat to Everton, Jaissle indicated that young midfielder Sean Steur could see increased playing time after praising his potential.
The injury comes just three weeks after Joelinton returned from a thigh problem that had kept him out since the summer. NUFC Blog writer Phil Huggan argues that Joelinton's recurring absences are an issue for midfield continuity and urges Jaissle to start Steur alongside Nico Gonzalez.
