The Story in 60 Seconds

Former striker Kevin Kyle believes Rangers will see an improved Lawrence Shankland once he returns from injury by playing in a strike partnership. The Rangers captain suffered a hamstring tear against Motherwell in September, having scored three goals in five Scottish Premiership appearances after joining from Hearts. Shankland is expected to return to full fitness early in the New Year.

In Shankland's absence, manager Derek McInnes has successfully paired strikers Ryan Naderi and Kevin Kelsy, who have both scored against Celtic. Kyle argued on the Go Radio Football Show that McInnes should not drop the in-form duo immediately, but noted having Shankland back will provide an advantageous selection headache.
