Former Rangers transfer target Conor Coady has officially announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 33. The center-back announced the decision on social media, writing that he had lived the dream and was eternally grateful for his career. Coady was previously sought after by Rangers in 2025 before choosing to sign with Wrexham, whom he left in August 2026.
Tributes poured in across social media following Coady's announcement. Former Rangers manager Michael Beale congratulated him on his journey, while former Wolverhampton Wanderers teammate Raul Jimenez and England colleagues Harry Maguire and Jack Grealish also sent messages honoring his career and leadership.
