Shea Lacey impresses for Manchester United, sparking an international tug-of-war between England and Republic of Ireland for his future.
Manchester United teenager Shea Lacey is reportedly being monitored by Republic of Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrimsson for a potential international switch. Although Lacey was born in England and has represented the country at various youth levels, he qualifies for Ireland through his father. Hallgrimsson acknowledged Lacey's Irish connection ahead of Ireland's Nations League match against Austria.
The international interest follows Lacey's impressive Champions League cameo on Tuesday, where he helped Manchester United secure a 3-2 comeback victory over AS Roma. The 19-year-old winger assisted Matheus Cunha's winning goal after coming on for the final 15 minutes at Old Trafford.
