The SF Giants have let go of hitting coach Hunter Mense in a bit of a surprise move. Let's take a look at three candidates who could replace him.

Following Hunter Mense's departure to become an assistant hitting coach for the Kansas City Royals, Around the Foghorn's Nick San Miguel highlighted three potential candidates to take over as the San Francisco Giants hitting coach. Mense spent the 2026 season with San Francisco after previously working with the Toronto Blue Jays.
San Miguel suggests Double-A Richmond hitting coach Tommy Everidge, Milwaukee Brewers assistant hitting coach Guillermo Martinez, and Giants Arizona Complex League coach Travis Ishikawa as viable replacement candidates. The Giants are reevaluating their staff following a 65-97 season in 2026.
