Brad Marchand said Thursday he's glad his knee injury wasn't more serious as he rehabs.

Florida Panthers forward Brad Marchand revealed that he initially feared a left knee injury suffered in early October was career-ending. After crashing into a goal post against the Los Angeles Kings, tests confirmed a less severe prognosis. Marchand has resumed on-ice rehab and hopes to return to game action within the next six weeks.
Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov is also nearing a return from an early-season injury and has been rehabbing alongside Marchand. Both players, along with general manager Bill Zito, attended the unveiling of a newly designed JetBlue team tribute plane on Thursday.
