Conor Benn addressed his recent stoppage loss to Ryan Garcia in an interview with Sky Sports, stating that he paid the price for chasing greatness. Benn acknowledged that dropping down to the 147-pound welterweight limit negatively impacted his performance in the ring, though he credited Garcia for landing a phenomenal shot and being the better fighter that night.
Looking ahead, Benn announced plans to move up and campaign at middleweight, explaining that a severe weight cut ruled out competing at light middleweight. Benn also revealed he declined a proposed December fight against Manny Pacquiao, expressing openness to facing Pacquiao in the first quarter of the following year instead.
