Unai Emery speaks out on Nassef Sawiris meeting and new Aston Villa contract

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has confirmed he is close to signing a new contract extension following positive discussions with co-owner and chairman Nassef Sawiris. Speaking ahead of Villa's trip to Manchester United, Emery described a recent meeting with Sawiris, Damian Vidagany, and Roberto Olabe, which focused on establishing a long-term commitment extending beyond the expiration of his existing contract in 2029.

Emery emphasized that both he and Sawiris share the same ambition to build sustained consistency and growth at the club. The long-term vision includes developing young players, stadium expansion at Villa Park, and increasing club revenues through ongoing European competition.
