George Russell will serve a grid penalty in Brazil this weekend.

George Russell will serve a five-place grid penalty at the upcoming Sao Paulo Grand Prix after Mercedes fitted a new internal combustion engine to his car. The penalty was anticipated following a power unit failure in Malaysia, marking the British driver's second grid drop across the last four races.
Mercedes can clinch the constructors' championship in Brazil if it outscores Ferrari by at least three points. Meanwhile, Russell's teammate Andrea Kimi Antonelli already secured the drivers' world championship at the previous race in Mexico City, leaving Russell fourth in the standings.
