Shaun Harvey has been appointed acting chief executive of Wrexham AFC following the sudden departure of Michael Williamson. Harvey has worked closely with co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Machenney since 2021, serving initially as a strategic adviser before becoming a club director in December 2023. Reynolds and Machenney stated that Harvey will provide vital support to manager Phil Parkinson and the squad.
Harvey brings decades of high-level football administration experience, including roles as managing director of Bradford City, chief executive of Leeds United, and chief executive of the English Football League for nearly six years. He takes over the executive role as Wrexham competes in the Championship following three consecutive promotions.
