The Story in 60 Seconds

Formula 1 debutant Rafael Camara received a reprimand from race stewards following a dangerous incident involving Charles Leclerc during second practice at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix on Friday. Camara, who was called up by Haas to replace the axed Esteban Ocon at his home race in Brazil, impeded Ferrari driver Leclerc on the high-speed run up the hill toward the main straight at Interlagos.

The stewards determined Camara was warned repeatedly about Leclerc approaching on a fast lap but still drifted onto the racing line, forcing Leclerc to take evasive action off the track. Despite the penalty, Haas praised Camara's debut performance, with head of car engineering Hoagy Nidd highlighting the Brazilian's steady progress across Friday's practice sessions alongside teammate Ollie Bearman.
