Luka Doncic has joined LeBron James in legal action against sports betting firm PlayVision Inc. over its Bron AI application. Both NBA superstars are demanding the removal of their likenesses after the company launched an unauthorized marketing campaign. Doncic reportedly sent a cease-and-desist letter alleging PlayVision illegally used his name, image, and likeness without permission, following an initial legal challenge by James.
The promotional material featured an AI-generated character resembling James wearing a No. 23 jersey and mimicking his voice in a locker room setting. Other NBA players reportedly featured without consent include Giannis Antetokounmpo and Dillon Brooks. The athletes' individual legal teams are actively addressing the unauthorized usage.
