Minnesota Wild defenseman Brock Faber spoke publicly for the first time since suffering a skull fracture during the preseason. Faber revealed that he initially had no idea he sustained the severe injury, explaining that the impact felt like a minor bruise from a slow shot, which allowed him to continue playing before undergoing surgery.
Although medically cleared, Faber was ruled out of Friday's game against the San Jose Sharks to avoid rushing his return. Wild head coach John Hynes confirmed the team is ramping up Faber's physical readiness, with a potential return targeted for an upcoming road trip.
