This former Vancouver Canucks prospect has been placed on waivers by the Buffalo Sabres.

The Buffalo Sabres have placed former Vancouver Canucks defenseman Jack Rathbone on waivers, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman. Rathbone has been sidelined all season due to injury, but the waiver placement signals he is ready to return to game action. If he clears waivers unclaimed, Buffalo can assign him to their AHL affiliate, the Rochester Americans.
Rathbone was originally drafted 95th overall by Vancouver in 2017 and showed strong offensive production at Harvard and in the AHL. However, he struggled to secure a regular NHL role, tallying five points in 28 games for the Canucks before being traded to Pittsburgh in 2023.
