After back-to-back starts Burnley striker Andreas Hountondji says Jamie Vardy is inspiring him, and he is learning from the former Premier League champion.
Burnley forward Andreas Hountondji has revealed that he studied video clips of veteran striker Jamie Vardy long before they became teammates at Turf Moor. The 24-year-old French forward, who has recently earned back-to-back league starts, stated that working alongside Vardy has provided him with valuable guidance regarding box finishing, elite standards, and professional mentality as he seeks to secure a permanent place in the Burnley side.
Hountondji signed with Burnley from French club Caen two-and-a-half years ago and developed through separate loan spells in Belgium and Germany. Now back with the squad, the forward noted that starting matches provides him with the film study and experience needed to improve his overall game, adding that he is willing to feature across the forward line to maintain regular playing time.
