Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers had a night to forget in Cleveland, and the big man’s shooting struggles hit a new low in the process. Even so, the Sixers star insists he has not lost faith in himself. Embiid…

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid maintains faith in his shooting ability despite extending an early-season perimeter slump during Friday's 119-95 road defeat to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Embiid went 0-of-9 from the field, missing both of his 3-point attempts to fall to 3-of-28 from deep on the season. After scoring all six of his points via free throws, Embiid acknowledged the mental toll of the slump while emphasizing the necessity to keep pushing forward.
The lopsided loss halted Philadelphia's five-game winning streak and dropped their record to 8-2. The 76ers struggled collectively in Cleveland, shooting just 36.5% overall and 25% from 3-point range, with Donovan Mitchell leading the victorious Cavaliers with 23 points. Embiid and Philadelphia will seek to rebound from the defeat when they face the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.
