The Memphis Grizzlies have dealt with multiple roster updates amid a three-game losing streak. Guard Scotty Pippen Jr. is facing an extended absence due to a lumbar disc herniation in his back, which kept him out for a fourth consecutive contest on Friday. Additionally, big man Isaiah Stewart missed Friday's blowout loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder after suffering a right knee bone bruise against Indiana on Wednesday.
Head coach Tuomas Iisalo indicated that Stewart avoided a major injury as the team awaits further evaluation. Meanwhile, forward GG Jackson II received a DNP-CD on Friday after logging only seven minutes on Wednesday. Following a 6-0 start to the season, Memphis plans to take Saturday off after Iisalo noted lower team energy levels during their recent slump.
