New York Yankees outfielder Cody Bellinger has won the 2026 American League Platinum Glove award, recognizing him as the league's top overall defender. Bellinger, who previously earned a Gold Glove for his play in left field, becomes just the second player in Yankees franchise history to win the Platinum Glove after catcher Jose Trevino in 2022. Pete Crow-Armstrong received the National League honor.
In addition to the defensive milestone, Pinstripe Alley highlighted several team developments. The Yankees face potential roster additions from Japan, including sluggers Teruaki Sato and Shugo Maki, while catching instructor Tanner Swanson is departing the organization to become the bench coach for the Seattle Mariners.
