The Chicago Bears intend to work out former Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Jordan Elliott next week, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz. The 28-year-old defensive tackle, who has made 65 career starts over 102 games, is expected to visit Halas Hall during the Bears' upcoming bye week following their Sunday Night Football matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Elliott was released by the Titans on October 20 following an incident at practice where he retrieved a firearm from his car after an altercation with teammate JC Latham. Teammate John Franklin-Myers de-escalated the confrontation, and the NFL is currently investigating the incident. Despite the release, Titans coach Robert Saleh strongly defended Elliott's character and run-stopping ability.
