One thing we can say about the Chicago Bears under this new coaching staff is that they’re not afraid to take gambles on players with, shall we say, mercurial personalities. They proved it last season when they signed C.J. Gardner-Johnson…

The Chicago Bears are bringing in defensive tackle Jordan Elliott for a workout, according to insider Jordan Schultz. Elliott was recently released by the Tennessee Titans following an incident where he attempted to retrieve a firearm from his vehicle after an altercation with teammate J.C. Latham. Teammate John Franklin-Meyers intervened, and no injuries occurred.
Erik Lambert of Sports Mockery argues that the Bears are exploring Elliott due to defensive line injuries, including Kentavius Street being placed on Injured Reserve and Grady Jarrett dealing with a groin issue. Chicago reportedly has connections to evaluate the situation through general manager Ryan Poles and former Titans teammate Jeffery Simmons.
