Rubens Barrichello is clear about what Ferrari “definitely” need if they are to fight Mercedes for the 2027 F1 title, following the spat between drivers…

Former Ferrari driver Rubens Barrichello stated that Ferrari "definitely" need internal harmony to compete against Mercedes for the 2027 Formula 1 title. His comments follow recent tensions between teammates Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, which were compounded after an on-track battle at the Mexico City Grand Prix prompted team principal Fred Vasseur to hold clear-the-air talks ahead of the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
Barrichello recalled the harmonious atmosphere during his own era at Ferrari, arguing that team unity is essential to securing championships. While Andrea Kimi Antonelli has already secured the 2026 drivers' championship for Mercedes, Ferrari currently sits second in the constructors' standings with Hamilton and Leclerc fighting for top positions in the drivers' table.
