Preston asked their own supporters on Thursday not to abuse players. Southampton visit Deepdale at 3pm today.

Preston North End issued a statement warning their supporters that abuse toward players, staff, and club personnel will not be tolerated ahead of hosting Southampton at Deepdale. The club sits at the bottom of the Championship with five points from 14 matches under manager Graham Alexander, who replaced Paul Heckingbottom in September.
Southampton, managed by Tonda Eckert, travel to Deepdale seeking a win to aid their promotion push despite a four-point deduction. Preston enter the fixture following a 3-2 defeat to Sheffield United, facing midfield absences as Leo Leroy is suspended and Johnny Kenny suffered a hamstring injury.
