The Utah Mammoth have recalled defenseman Gregor Biber from the AHL's Tucson Roadrunners and placed winger Kailer Yamamoto on injured reserve. The roster moves follow an upper-body injury sustained by defenseman Nate Schmidt on Thursday against Montreal. Biber becomes the first player from Utah's 2024 draft class to earn an NHL call-up.
Biber, a 20-year-old native of Austria, has recorded three assists in 11 AHL games this season after signing a three-year entry-level deal in May. Yamamoto's injured reserve placement is retroactive to October 29th due to an upper-body injury, making him eligible for activation at any time.
