The Story in 60 Seconds

The Kansas City Chiefs are seeking wide receiver help ahead of the NFL trade deadline, with reported interest in Josh Downs and Calvin Ridley. According to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, acquiring Downs from the Indianapolis Colts would likely cost a fourth-round pick. Meanwhile, Breer reported that Tennessee Titans wideout Calvin Ridley could potentially be acquired for a sixth-round selection.

Kansas City is reportedly unwilling to surrender Day 1 or Day 2 draft picks for in-season trade additions. Downs is playing in the final year of his rookie contract, carrying the remainder of a $3.9 million base salary.
