Harry Souttar was due to participate in the Asian Cup at the start of 2027…

The Asian Football Confederation has rescheduled the upcoming Asian Cup amid regional security concerns and travel disruptions following attacks in Saudi Arabia. Australia defender Harry Souttar was scheduled to compete in the tournament from January 7 to February 5, which would have ruled him out of several matches for Leicester City.
Souttar was initially expected to miss up to seven League One fixtures, including scheduled matches against Wycombe, Reading, Doncaster, and Bromley. The center-back has been a key figure for manager Russell Martin this season, making 13 appearances in all competitions.
