Tottenham Hotspur could turn to the South American market again to solve their issues at full-back, as they set their sights on a young Argentine…

Tottenham Hotspur are competing with Atletico Madrid and Napoli to sign Palmeiras right-back Agustin Giay, according to a report from Fichajes. The Premier League side reportedly views the 22-year-old Argentine defender as a rotational back-up option for Pedro Porro. Atletico manager Diego Simeone is also an admirer of Giay, while Napoli previously had an offer rejected.
Palmeiras are reportedly committed to selling Giay in the January window following the Copa Libertadores final on November 28. The Brazilian club has set an opening asking price of at least €25m (£20.8m) for a permanent transfer.
