Rangers ended their winless away run with a 2-0 victory over St Mirren at The Marbill Coaches Stadium. Ryan Naderi opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a penalty awarded after a challenge on James Penrice, before captain Dan Neil secured the win with a deflected strike shortly after the hour mark. The result extended Derek McInnes's side's unbeaten streak across all competitions to 12 matches.
The victory moved Rangers within one point of Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic ahead of their upcoming fixture against Kilmarnock. Despite late attacking attempts from St Mirren substitutes Eseosa Sule and Luke Thomas, Rangers goalkeeper Ivor Pandur held firm to protect the clean sheet, while Calvin Ramsay hit the post for the hosts.
